Head-over-heels!
Could I possibly fall in love with another European city?My husband is working in Stuttgart, Germany. I came over Thursday to spend the weekend with him. And, Stuttgart, I have fallen head-over-heels in love with you!
Super easy to get around, yesterday we took the bus and train into the city center. We walked the Koenigstrasse--shops, both large and small, buskers....and people everywhere. Of course, ask Norm and he'll tell you I went into every store, but, trust me, that's not even close to true! I did buy some pretty bowls--I have a "thing" for bowls and it was no problem to find some that I loved. I also found some plates that I didn't feel like draggin' around, but will get them the next time I am here.
Char-lot-ten-platz. I love saying this word! One of the train stations:
Koenigstrasse
The dishes I want to get next time. They match little bowls I bought in Munich last year.
The fake silver statue busker...
There were plenty of musicians...
...and biers...
...and bierschnaps
(Norm drank this--I didn't like it much. Tasted like watered-down whiskey, to me.)
And, head-over-heels in love with this man, too! (Even if he does think I am silly for taking pictures of ourselves!)

Write What's YOUR view? Click here to comment, please!I lived near Stuttgart when I was a kid. On your next trip try to make it out to the castle in Ludwigsburg (20 mins away)...AMAZING gardens! (And I'm not even a garden type-o-guy)
ReplyThanks, John. We are doing a volksmarch tomorrow and I head back on Monday. He said we'd save the castle for next time!
