Afternoon on Bourbon Street
This past weekend, I got a great 3 day trip: a 19 hour layover in New Orleans and a 19 hour Vancouver layover. I had flown with both of the Flight Attendants before: Thu, who was the Purser, and Richard. Thu is a new Mom, and she relishes the downtime in a hotel-so she decided not to go with Richard and me downtown to the French Quarter--which, despite the rain, was hopping with pre-
Mardi Gras celebrations.
We started at
Jackson Square, then headed towards world-famous
Bourbon Street. We spent the afternoon there, eventually finding a balcony to hang out on and enjoying the festivities!

Me and a new friend. Okay, not really.
I just jumped in his picture. |
The next morning, we left early and flew a long day: New Orleans (MSY) to San Francisco (SFO), then onto Vancouver (YVR). After the fun of New Orleans, and the long next-day working, I was more than ready to hang the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the doorknob, and curl up in the hotel's plush bathrobe.
