Welcome to my Pity Party!

I'm back from Rio--and then some! I'll post about my trip a little later--but, just a little taste of my trip for ya...the churrascaria!


Our flight arrived home in Washington around 6:30 in the morning...and I was in bed by 8:30 am. Slept 'til 3 pm. Then, I had the audacity to think that the Crew Desk wouldn't be calling me for my last day of Reserve, with so many hours for the month already....

(In my best Dan B. voice....) Oh, HELL no!

The Crew Desk called at 2:00 in the morning with a lovely (NOT!) trip. Washington to Saint Thomas, sit for 1 hour and 40 minutes WITH passengers onboard, then a 19 minute flight to San Juan, an hour there WITH passengers onboard, board new passengers, then back to Washington. A nine hour day, without any sort of break. Well, I did use the lavatory twice. There, I was able to luxuriate in a few minutes to myself!!

Anyway, for the first six days of January (December 31st is part of the Flight Attendant month of January) I have flown 47.29 hours...this is more than half a month of flight time! My legs ache, my eyes won't open all the way, and don't anyone think of calling me just to chat--I am just too tired to do a thing!

So, please excuse the lack of postings for the next day or two--I will be attending my Pity Party and Whiners Not-So-Anonymous meetings! I'm sure I'll see a few of you there, too!
