Blondie's Triumph over Tommy the Tumor!**

**Today's post entitled by Cousin Lil' Bit.

No Guest Blogger as I had planned...sister Donna was so busy taking care of me today, she didn't have enough time to do it before she left. Good news is that I am feeling so well that I can check in here myself. (Or maybe it's the Percocets??)

Always thinking of my blog, I took my camera to the hospital after asking my surgeon if would be alright to have pictures taken of my girly parts being removed and she agreed. A cutie pie med student did a great job of taking the photos, but, I'll refrain from sharing those! (You're welcome!)

This was my first surgery--and I was very afraid. It was an overpowering fear at times. I was concerned about having cancer, but was more fearful of not waking up from the surgery. I know it is a rare instance, but the thought of never being with the people I love was overwhelming, and I could not get that possibility out of my head. I am so very glad it is all over!

And, over it is! Tommy the Tumor is dead--I have the photos to prove it!! And, he wasn't cancerous. And, the silver lining is no more visits from "Aunt Flo" each month. (My family is shakin' their collective heads that I wrote that!!)

Norm took this picture as I was waiting to go into surgery yesterday.

My Dad's grin was like this all day...it's his "No Cancer Smile!"

So, Donna has been my mother while here...she has been through this kinda stuff a couple of times, and she has the "getting out of bed part with staples and stitches in your belly" down pat. (Thank you, Didi!) She also walked me up and down the halls today.

In addition to Donna, Dad and Norm have been my escorts around halls this afternoon. I think Dad enjoyed looking at the pretty women working at the nurses station, while Norm was content just being next to me.

My belly hurts, but I'm am doing just fine. Hopefully going home tomorrow afternoon. For now, I am going to just lie back and let the Percocets do their thing!

Marlene is always having drinks, unfortunately not me as they would interfere with my antibiotics.

Blondie - Your diagnosis was a direct result of prayer. Never forget and hallelujah!
